SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - October 24, 2007 - HotelsCombined.com, the leading hotel search and comparison site, today announced that it is offsetting its carbon emissions with Carbonfund.org. HotelsCombined.com is offsetting carbon emissions generated by its business operations by investing in a number of carbon-reducing initiatives including renewable energy, reforestation and energy efficiency projects.

Further to this effort, HotelsCombined.com will reduce its carbon consumption levels related to its business activities by implementing recycling and energy-saving programs to limit its own environmental impact. HotelsCombined.com will also educate and encourage its visitors to becoming carbon neutral by directing travelers to Carbonfund.org, enabling them to learn more about carbon offsetting and environmentally sustainable practices. This will also provide the opportunity for its users to get involved in reducing any CO2 emissions related to their personal or household carbon footprint.

"We are proud to partner with Carbonfund.org. Considering the implications of climate change, carbon offsets through Carbonfund.org provide an effective way in which we can reduce our company carbon emissions and contribute to protecting our environment, as well as providing an environmentally friendly solution to our customers for their travel needs. We hope our carbon initiatives will raise awareness of an important issue and inspire others to do the same," said Yury Shar, Director of HotelsCombined.com. "HotelsCombined.com remains committed to being an environmental leader in the travel community, and will continue to take proactive steps in the fight against global climate change."

"We all love to travel, but when we do we are contributing to global climate change. That's why it's important to take responsibility for our emissions when we travel, and why we're proud to have HotelsCombined.com as a business partner," said Steve Offutt, Carbonfund.org's Chief Operating Officer. "Not only are they reducing and offsetting their own emissions, but they are educating their customers and encouraging them to do the same. That really exemplifies our motto: reduce what you can; offset what you can't."
