LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 13, 2006--The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF), a private, non-profit organization, announced the establishment of a Casa Herbalife program at Tokyo's Caritas Garden Children's Home to improve the foster home's ability to provide nutritious meals to the children in its care.

This is the 21st Casa Herbalife program HFF established since introducing the program in 2005, and the second in Japan. The Caritas Garden, established in 1954, will use the grant to improve its kitchen facilities in order to provide approximately 55 children from 2 to 18 years with healthy meals and proper nutrition.

William Rahn, senior vice president and managing director of Herbalife's North Asia region and Herbalife Independent Distributor Michiko Dejaeghere were greeted by Keiko Nishi, the charity's director. Ongoing support of Caritas Garden and other Casa Herbalife programs is provided by Herbalife independent distributors and employees around the world.

The Herbalife Family Foundation is a private, non-profit organization supported by Herbalife Ltd., its independent distributors, employees, friends and families. Created in 1994 by Herbalife founder Mark Hughes, the Herbalife Family Foundation's mission is helping children in need by offering support in overcoming life's most basic challenges, from escaping poverty, hunger and abuse to receiving adequate medical care and education. In addition to developing Casa Herbalife programs worldwide, HFF often responds to natural disasters by establishing special funds, as it did for victims of the tsunamis, earthquake and hurricanes that struck in 2004 and 2005.
