ST. LOUIS - October 9, 2007 - Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation is awarding cash grants totaling over $99,700 to 28 domestic pet programs in the United States and Canada. Funding for the grants is provided by the Bearemy's Kennel Pals® program. Each time a Build-A-Bear Workshop® Guest purchases a full-sized Bearemy's Kennel Pals friend-a collection of plush dogs-one dollar is donated through the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation to local animal shelters, stray pet rescue and rehabilitation organizations, and pet education programs.
