REDLANDS, CA. - November 7, 2008 - Shake It Up! Dance Studio in Redlands, Calif., is hosting a dance event on Nov. 15 as a Veterans Day fundraiser for national military nonprofit USA Cares.

Studio owners Kerry and Kyle Cummings heard about USA Cares from dance student Patti Claire. Kyle Cummings said they feel privileged to hold the event. "It's the least we can do for those who have sacrificed their lives for us and our nation," he said in an e-mail.

The fundraiser will have a live band, dance lessons, dance performances, food, raffle prizes and more. Both students and instructors will be involved.

"Anything we can do to provide great entertainment and raise as much money as possible for the cause," Cummings said.

"This benefit means that people are hearing about USA Cares and showing that they believe in our mission," USA Cares Director of Business Development Kim Moorman said. "Any events like this are so appreciated by both us and the military families we help."
