SAN FRANCISCO, CA.- June 20, 2007.- Net Impact, an international nonprofit organization whose mission is to make a positive impact on society by growing and strengthening a community of new leaders who use business to improve the world, announced today that they are expanding operations to Europe to meet a growing demand for their programs and services. By hiring a European Director and planning the first Net Impact European Conference in the spring of 2008, Net Impact will increase its presence in Europe and grow a stronger and more vibrant European network.

The move is designed to strengthen the reach of the Net Impact mission in the European market, which currently includes 17 student and professional chapters across the continent. Net Impact will be able to increase the scope of its successful North American career and internship programs, conference, change initiatives, chapter and member network and corporate sponsorships to a European audience.

"We are thrilled to be increasing our presence in Europe, where we already have hundreds of committed members" said Liz Maw, Executive Director. "A European staff person and conference are the first bold steps to becoming a truly global organization."

Says Net Impact member and London Professional chapter leader Conrad Young, "for Net Impact to truly drive the global change we all want to see, the organization needs a regional presence outside North America. The Net Impact London Professional group welcomes the expansion plan, as it will allow European chapters to have better communications with the central leadership team in California. It will build on the activities of the 17 active chapters in Europe, developing a uniquely European vision of a positive net social, environmental and economic impact and a showcase event to share it with businesses.
