November 6, 2007 - for Executive and Professional Education has chosen London as the site to offer a 2-day intensive workshop on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), in partnership with UK CSR specialists, Ideal Media. This will be the first in a series of internationals workshops and seminars and will be followed closely by a 3-day workshop in San Jose, Costa Rica. The two workshops have been designed as an executive education offering to help fill the gap in hands-on professional CSR education. Interested participants may register for either one of the workshops.

The workshops are designed to give those working or looking to work in CSR practical knowledge on how to plan and implement a CSR strategy. The course’s limited enrolment is designed to maximise participant interaction, but will also bring industry insights with expert speakers from the field. This initiative is also seen as a contribution to the cross-sectoral approach recommended by UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014). The main topics that will be addressed include:

  • Leading Frameworks for CSR: Looking at the pros and cons of selected international CSR frameworks

  • Leadership in CSR: Bringing values to the workplace and developing leadership skills

  • CSR communications: Engaging and inspiring stakeholders and developing your brand

  • Engaging NGOs: How to structure for win-win alliances

  • Case Studies of CSR in practice: Learning from best practices

  • CSR strategy: Developing a CSR strategy for your organization
