LOS ANGELES, CA. - February 23, 2009 - Learning Links Centers(R) (LLC), a unique socially responsible real estate investment company, has scheduled the grand opening ceremony for its second Resource Center in Dallas on Wednesday, March 11th at 4:00 PM. The new Resource Center is located in LLC's recently purchased seventh development called "The Madeline;" a 14-acre, 292 unit apartment development at 9855 Shadow Way, Dallas, Texas, 75243. The announcement was made today by real estate entrepreneurs and LLC co-founders Joe Killinger and George Pino.

The newest Dallas Resource Center will house 10 computers with educational software, Internet access, over 300 educational books, various board games, arts and craft materials, earth and physical science related items and movies for over 100 students living within the complex.

"Learning Links Centers is a one of a kind socially responsible real estate investment firm that offers a personal and comprehensive educational program for children right where they live. We concentrate not only on the core subjects but also supplement their every day education by incorporating key partnerships with local businesses, such as banks to open savings accounts for the kids and to teach them basic money management and life skills," said Killinger. "The expansion into Dallas has been a tremendous success and we're thrilled to be opening a second Resource Center which we anticipate will be used by over 100 kids."

In addition to two developments in Dallas, LLC currently owns and operates five buildings in Baldwin Village, California with plans to reach 1200 units in Dallas by the end of this year and to next expand the program to the New York City Metroplex.

The groundbreaking business model utilizes Killinger and Pino's expertise in the real estate business, to acquire, refurbish and manage apartment buildings in targeted neighborhoods, with the goal to help build better communities and living environments while addressing the educational needs of disadvantaged children. Setting aside a percentage of the residential units for accredited school teachers, LLC also renovates one unit or community room in the development to serve as a Resource Center, equipped with computers, Internet service, educational software, books and games. In exchange for a reduction in rent, the school teachers provide free after-school tutoring to the children that reside in the building. The Resource Centers offer a safe environment away from negative influences where the children can study without distractions.

ABOUT LEARNING LINKS CENTERS

Founded in 2002 and based in Los Angeles, Learning Links Centers(R) (LLC) is a socially responsible real estate investment firm dedicated to improving communities by providing a safe environment, educational resources, life enrichment activities and scholarships for children living in the LLC owned developments. LLC is a unique pioneer in the real estate industry with the only business model of its kind.

The co-owners of LLC created a non-profit organization called Education Advantage Foundation (EAF) to oversee the Resource Centers. Working in conjunction with LLC, EAF organizes, promotes, supervises and raises funds for the Resource Centers, no-cost after-school tutoring, mentoring, scholarships and life-enrichment events for the children involved in the program. Under the guidance and supervision of the teachers living in the buildings at a heavily discounted rent, the Resource Centers are used to assist the students with homework tasks, tutoring and mentoring. With the added incentive of educational opportunities, the buildings become desirable destinations for renters which minimizes vacancy, rental default and vandalism rates, thereby helping to improve community standards. Students participating in programs range from kindergarten to the 12th grade.
