PETALUMA, Ca. - September 9, 2008 - HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc., provider of the WeatherTRAK(R) Smart Water Management solution, today announced the appointment of two new executives to strengthen its management team and further its efforts in promoting Smart Water Management's dual benefits of responsible water conservation that delivers significant financial returns. HydroPoint has appointed Sharon Thompson as vice president of marketing and Mardi Diamond has been named vice president of professional services and support. Both will report to CEO Paul Ciandrini.

With these appointments, HydroPoint is particularly well-positioned to take advantage of public and private industries moving towards more water sustainability practices. According to a recent HydroPoint "Green Leaders" survey, 86 percent of respondents say they are implementing sustainability practices.

As vice president of marketing, Sharon Thompson will be responsible for overseeing integrated marketing and strategic initiatives to further increase brand awareness, solution demand, and customer loyalty. Her efforts will enable HydroPoint to continue its expansion that has allowed industries of all types to realize substantial financial returns when using Smart Water Management technology to conserve water.

With more than 20 years experience in global marketing and brand management, Ms. Thompson brings a sound executive marketing background from companies such as Streamcore, Inc., where she restructured the marketing organization and led marketing initiatives to strengthen Streamcore’s brand, and Plumtree Software, Inc., where she was responsible for increasing market share and helping Plumtree positively position itself for acquisition by BEA. Ms. Thompson also held senior executive-level marketing positions with IBM, Informix and Intel.

Also joining HydroPoint is Mardi Diamond as vice president of professional services and support. In this role, she will be responsible for strategic planning and day-to-day operational management for technical support, customer service and professional services. Ms. Diamond will use her leadership to further cultivate HydroPoint’s industry leading customer support team, ensuring HydroPoint customers continue to receive unparalleled product support.

Ms. Diamond brings extensive experience in product implementation, new product introductions and management of customer service professionals to her role. She previously worked at Plumtree Inc. as vice president of worldwide sales consulting. She has also held management positions in customer service and product development at Cornus, Walker Interactive Systems and Data Design Associates.
