PETALUMA,CA. - July 7, 2008 - HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc., provider of the WeatherTRAK(R) smart water management solution", today announced the appointment of Paul Ciandrini as president and chief executive officer. In this role, Mr. Ciandrini will be responsible for day-to-day operations and the strategic development of the company's proven water-saving technology. Former HydroPoint CEO and founder Chris Spain will serve as chairman of the company’s board of directors and chief strategy officer.

Paul Ciandrini comes to HydroPoint from BearingPoint, Inc. (formerly KPMG Consulting), where he held the position of chief risk officer. Prior to that, as president of Plumtree Software, Inc., Mr. Ciandrini contributed to increasing the company's value by more than 80 percent, facilitating the company’s acquisition by BEA Systems, Inc. In his previous role as senior vice president of North American application sales for Oracle Corporation, Mr. Ciandrini oversaw annual revenue growth of 43 percent. Before joining Oracle, Mr. Ciandrini managed the high technology practice at BearingPoint and later served as group executive vice president for product services consulting, a $700 million annual revenue business. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ciandrini served as vice president of marketing for Walker Interactive Systems and helped take the firm through its initial public offering.
