CHICAGO,IL - December 20, 2007 - /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ - Launching on Christmas Day, the "Injustice Undone" campaign is a 10 day Facebook.com rally cry to help people who are living on less than one dollar a day. Bright Hope International is asking Facebook.com members to contribute $10.00 and invite their network of friends to join the cause for undoing injustices among the poor.

The Injustice Undone campaign supports the work of Bright Hope International. Bright Hope gets a four-out-of-four star rating from Charity Navigator, an online charity watchdog group. Bright Hope helps people who live on less than $1.00 a day in three ways:

1. Giving them the basics; food, clothing, education.
2. Giving them the opportunity to earn a living.
3. Connecting them to a church so they can break out of the emotional and spiritual issues brought on by being extremely poor.

The goal of the 10-day campaign is to raise $4000 or more, and recruit as many people to the cause as possible.

Here are some examples of what can be accomplished with four thousand dollars?

-- It could provide 40 families with a small business loan.
-- It could feed 1200 families for a month.
-- It could buy 500 mosquito nets to shield kids from malaria.

This is the first Facebook campaign Bright Hope has initiated.

Bright Hope President, Craig Hilton Dyer, says, "If we can activate hundreds of people to give a small gift of $10 each and invite their friends to this cause, we can win the battle against poverty that is killing children and destroying the fabric of families in Africa, Asia and around the world."

"Unfortunately, the poverty campaigns going on today communicate to the average person that their small dollars don't make a difference. These large media campaigns convey the idea that the UN or US government, Bono or Oprah-sized gifts are the only ones that count. But this is not the case. At Bright Hope we are mostly supported by individuals who do not give huge donations. Bright Hope has learned how to stretch a dollar and make a significant difference through it. This is a lost art in many government programs and campaigns."
