Minneapolis, MN. - February 18, 2009 - Finding life after leprosy. Addressing the global food crisis. Mending congenital heart defects in children. These are just a few of the topics covered in the newest issue of NEED magazine, an award-winning, visually stunning publication devoted to telling stories of hope and humanitarian work worldwide.

Founded in 2006, NEED profiles humanitarian efforts in a dignified and artistic way, generating awareness and inspiring involvement among readers.

"We believe our new issue is the best yet," said Stephanie Kinnunen, editor in chief. "In today’s world it can seem overwhelming to act on global problems like natural disaster or human sex trafficking. It is our hope that NEED opens readers' eyes to the incredible work being done in the world, and gives them tangible ways in which to respond."
