“Change is the result of all learning” — Leo Buscaglia
The value of education for an increasingly complex future is becoming more vital than ever. From STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programs to financial literacy initiatives, the variety and volume of news about education is making it a priority topic in the sustainability sphere. How are we to create, develop, and maintain a more sustainable future without knowing much more than we do today? How are we to take quicker, more effective action based on knowledge if we don’t have the facts?
For August, the traditional “back to school” month, we’re calling for blogs that touch on any aspect of education as our featured monthly campaign. Some potential areas of focus could include:
• STEM projects
• Financial literacy
• Programs for different age groups, from elementary to college students
• Educational competitions and challenges
• The role of business in education
• Global education goals
• Business school sustainability curriculum
• Online learning
We’re asking you, the CSRwire community of experts, NGOs, corporates, academics and innovators, to share your insights and best practices.
Share your innovations, successes and challenges for the wider community to learn from, explore and further develop.
CSRwire will select the best 500+ word submissions to be included on Talkback, our blog section, and to be further debated across all of our highly influential social media channels.
To submit, please send your article, with suggested title, as a Word document to email@example.com with 'Talkback: Education for a Sustainable Future’ in the subject line. Include a short bio, a headshot photo (jpeg), and any accompanying imagery with appropriate rights clearly available.
There is no specific deadline for articles as we are always happy to receive good content for consideration, but any received after August 24 could miss the spotlight.
Watch for September’s Talkback series on corporate governance and business ethics. A call for submissions will be sent out mid-August.
