Dr. Donato Calace
Dr. Donato Calace is an ESG Specialist at eRevalue, a data technology company, where he is currently writing a new ESG Ontology for applying Natural Language Processing technologies to corporate reports, regulations, social media, and news. In June 2016, Donato was awarded a Ph.D. in the international program “The Economics and Management of Natural Resources” developed by the LUM Jean Monnet University - Italy, Megatrend University, Belgrad (Serbia), China Three Gorges University (CTGU) - China, Louisiana Tech University - USA and Saint Petersburg State Forest Technical University (SPbSFTU) – Russia.
During his PhD and visiting period at Cass Business School, he focused on the relationship between non-financial disclosure and environmental performance, reporting and market value, national culture and sustainability reporting. He presented results of his studies in international conferences and published on scientific journals such as the International Journal of Sustainable Development, and specialized reviews such as Ethical Boardroom.

Corporate responsibility (or its sister concepts such as sustainability, corporate citizenship, and the like) may have won “the battle of ideas”, being awarded with the status of its own in business schools and having dedicated departments in the world largest companies, it still remains a tucked away exotic island compared to well established continents of other management disciplines, such as strategy or marketing.
