BCE, Canada’s largest communications company Canada, has released its Annual Corporate Responsibility Report.
The externally audited report contains detailed performance data for key corporate responsibility initiatives. Available online only, the report addresses issues that are most relevant to the company’s stakeholders in 5 main sections: Team members, Customers, Community, Environment, and Economy.
Among the highlights for 2014:
• First Canadian network operator to deliver transmission speeds of 100 Gigabits per second
• Bell Let’s Talk commitment to mental health increased to $73 million
• Prevented the release of nearly 43.5 kilotonnes of CO2 equivalent since 2008
• Injected $4.4 billion into the economy in wages and benefits
• 82% of team members said they are proud to work for Bell
