Description

The New Space for Women's Health is building an independent women's health and birth center in midtown Manhattan in early 2010, providing an alternative center for women's health care and a place to give birth in a respectful, attentive and private environment. Midwives, mental health professionals, family educators and a community of other professionals will provide over 17,000 women and families each year with: prenatal, birth, and postpartum care, childbirth education, breastfeeding support, gynecological services, and social work and psychological care.

All women and their newborn babies deserve the best, and we are designing a center specifically to meet the needs of women and their families. Our beautiful, personalized, state-of-the-art birth center and women's health center will be built to meet the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED-CI gold standard, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.

Midwifery cares spans a lifetime, and the New Space for Women's Health will improve the quality of health care for all women in New York City by establishing an independent, freestanding center for birth, breastfeeding, and women's health care.
