Description

The mission of AIDS Responsibility Project(ARP) is educate key policy makers in the public and private sector about the unique needs of traditionally underserved HIV/AIDS affected populations, and to develop strategies to overcome barriers to effective prevention and treatment.

One such strategy is ARP's successful program to reduce HIV related stigma and discrimination in the workplace. To accomplish this goal, ARP has developed the first HIV/AIDS business councils in Mexico, Jamaica, and Guatemala. These councils provide member companies technical support to implement non-discriminatory workplace policies, and provide companies with a platform to take a leadership role in the fight against HIV in their respective countries.
