Description
In 1994, Acumentrics was founded as a manufacturer of custom power
products. The company quickly became an industry leader in rugged AC and
DC uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for military and industrial power
conditioning and backup. Our RuggedUPS products are trusted in punishing
environments found in war, heavy industry, and transportation.
In 2000, the company expanded into power generation by acquiring
intellectual property for an innovative tubular solid oxide fuel cell
(SOFC) design. Acumentrics improved the technology in "stealth mode" for
over five years. Internal development has made the fuel cells 60X more
effective. Presently the company sells fuel cell power generators in the
1-10kW range to qualified customers and partners. They are used for
silent, standalone generation and combined heat and power.
