Cox Enterprises will provide $500,000 of in-kind public service announcements (PSAs) to amplify The Trust for Public Land’s (TPL) mission to create parks and protect land for people, ensuring healthy, livable communities for generations to come.

“We are always thrilled to partner with The Trust for Public Land as it continues to create the opportunity for individuals to enjoy outdoor spaces and connect with nature,” said Cox Enterprises Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Administrative Services Bob Jimenez. “Cox’s media properties offer TPL a platform to generate national awareness for its sustainability and conservation efforts.”

Cox’s contribution will include PSAs across the company’s various digital media platforms, including broadcast segments on Cox Media Group and Cox Communications. Banner ads will also be placed on Cox’s consumer websites such as Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book.

“Partnering with Cox Enterprises on the Cox Conserves Heroes program has been a terrific way to recognize people who are working to protect their local environment and improve their communities,” said Will Rogers, President of The Trust for Public Land. “The Cox team wisely understands that local leadership is important and we thank them for providing the leadership at a national level to help communities across the nation.”

This contribution builds upon Cox Enterprises’ national environmental partnership with The Trust for Public Land, which began in 2008 and resulted in the creation of the Cox Conserves Heroes program. Cox Conserves Heroes takes place in eight states and has honored nearly 200 environmental volunteers who are creating or preserving outdoor spaces. The program has donated nearly $800,000 to local environmental nonprofits on behalf of the finalists.

The partnership is part of the company’s national Cox Conserves sustainability program that is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
