ACCP, in partnership with the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business, presented three Corporate Responsibility professionals with the designation of Certified Corporate Responsibility Executive (CCRE) on Tuesday, March 14, at ACCP: The Conference.

The three individuals that earned the designation are:

Jaime Barclay, Symantec Corporation
Kimberlin M. Keller, Johnson & Johnson
Megan Lee, Southwest Airlines

CCRE is a designation earned as a result of completing all three programs offered through the Corporate Responsibility Executive Institute (CREI) and a capstone project. CREI, in its third year, is a suite of business focused educational offerings for seasoned Corporate Responsibility executives.

“Unprecedented change in the US and around the world means business leaders are evaluating how to adapt and thrive in what is a rapidly evolving and complex environment,” says Mark Shamley, President & CEO of ACCP. “We know the bar is raised on what our people are expected to do. The programs of the Corporate Responsibility Executive Institute are designed to prepare CR executives to meet the business challenges faced by their companies. CR executives who apply to CREI are at the top of their profession. They know CR inside and out. These three individuals have demonstrated that they understand more than just the mechanics of the profession; they understand and can articulate the value of the work they do for both society and their companies.”

Applications for CREI are open. The first program, in May 2017, is Managing the Matrix. The course builds an individual’s understanding of business leaders’ thought processes and by doing so enables more effective collaboration. Next up in July of 2017 is Advanced Business Acumen, a quantitative program designed to give participants a better grasp on numbers, metrics, and operations. The final program, held in October 2017, is Strategic Business Leadership. Individuals taking this course will learn how the senior leaders of their organizations think and execute business strategy and how to take that knowledge and apply it to their approach.
