The Anthesis Group, a leading global sustainability services and solutions provider, has today announced the acquisition of Enveco, the Swedish-based environmental economics and sustainability consultancy.

The ninth acquisition since the formation of Anthesis in September 2013, Enveco is well established in the Swedish and international environmental economics community. Trading as Anthesis Enveco, the acquisition reinforces the Group’s sustainability diagnostics services as well as the provision of research and training in the field of environmental economics.

Enveco have led cutting edge research in the fields of monetary valuation of environmental change and ecosystem services, socio-economic impact assessment and multi-criteria analysis. Their work focuses on valuing natural capital and ecosystem services by emphasizing their economic impact. Working on a wide range of national and international projects, assignments have included the design and implementation of valuation studies, cost-benefit analysis, and assessments of economic policy instruments for clients such as the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management, and the City of Stockholm.

Joining the Anthesis Group leadership team will be: Åsa Soutukorva, Managing Director; Tore Söderqvist, Chairman of the board; and Ole Paus, Commercial Director and former head of WSP Environmental (Sweden). Marie Arnér, MD of Ekologigruppen, will join as a member of the board.
