Points of Light honors UPS for its community engagement and philanthropic efforts for 3rd year

UPS® (NYSE: UPS) today was recognized again as a leader in global volunteerism on the 2016 Civic 50, marking the third year the company has made the list. The Civic 50 initiative by Points of Light, honors the 50 most community-minded companies in the U.S., and helps set a standard for corporate civic engagement, creating a roadmap for companies seeking to improve quality of life in the communities where they do business. Civic 50 winners were announced today at Points of Light’s Conference on Volunteering and Service in Detroit, Michigan.

Five UPS philanthropic efforts were recognized on the 2016 Civic 50, including the following:The Civic 50 survey was administered by True Impact, a company specializing in helping organizations maximize and measure their social and business value. The survey instrument consists of quantitative and multiple-choice questions that inform the Civic 50 scoring process. The Civic 50 is the only survey and ranking system that exclusively measures corporate involvement in communities.
