Astellas Recognized as a Top 20 Place to Work by Chicago Tribune

Astellas today was recognized as one of the top 20 large companies to work for in the Chicago area by Chicago Tribune. The list, based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics, LLC, measured several key aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection. This marks Astellas’ second appearance on Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces list.
A global pharmaceutical company celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2015, Astellas employs nearly 1,200 people at its headquarters for the Americas in Northbrook, Illinois. The company also has a research facility in Skokie, Illinois, and field-based employees located in the Chicago area. This year, the company was also ranked by Forbes and Working Mothers Magazine as a top place to work in their respective annual surveys.
“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And often times, people assume the recognition is all about fancy perks and benefits,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Workplace Dynamics. “To be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health, and who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day — the employees.”
