Corporate social responsibility and sustainability executives trying to make the business case for community involvement activities should attend the next 3BL Media “Best Practices” webinar, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. ET. 

During this free event, the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship will discuss its 2015 Community Involvement Study, a unique research report that explores how companies are investing in communities and how these efforts connect to their businesses.

Conducted for the 11th time since 1995, the study finds that the majority of companies today report that community involvement contributes to key business goals including improved reputation and the attraction and retention of employees.

“Business decisions are made using hard data, and this comprehensive study of the value of community involvement activities helps companies gain a better understanding of the strongest direct and indirect benefits of this growing aspect of corporate citizenship,” said Dave Armon, CMO of 3BL Media, who will moderate the 45-minute roundtable discussion.“

The findings will be presented by Colleen Olphert, director of membership for the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship.

Webinar attendees will hear how companies continue to fund community K-12 education and youth programs, and how health and wellness initiatives are gaining momentum as priorities.  The BCCCC study also identified community involvement efforts as contributing positively to companies entering new markets, reducing waste and achieving sustainable supply chains.
