VANCOUVER, Canada , Oct. 27 /CSRwire/ - GLOBE Series, North America’s largest and longest-running corporate sustainability conference and exposition series, has revealed the GLOBE 2016 program, its most dynamic, interactive, global, and highest quality event to date, focussed on the theme Business Innovation for the Planet, and taking place March 2-4, 2016 in Vancouver, Canada.
As the leadership summit for sustainable business, GLOBE 2016 will deliver an in-depth review of challenging issues between people, planet, and profit with critical insight from more than 200 speakers and innovators from around the world, sharing real world knowledge, lessons and solutions to accelerate business innovation. The program will address carbon innovation and technology transfer, climate action mechanisms and policy, corporate investment, sub-national climate leadership, and public-private partnerships, all geared towards seizing carbon-action opportunities , while the Innovation Expo will showcase climate change solutions and low-carbon generating/emitting technologies.

GLOBE 2016 will bring together nearly two thousand business and government leaders from more than 50 countries to network, collaborate and advance global business and sustainability agendas.
GLOBE 2016 conference sessions will take two forms. Firstly, Thought Leadership for business developers, strategists and economic forecasters. Session themes address Global Sustainability Megatrends and Leadership; Advanced Corporate Sustainability; Technology and the Energy Transition; Risks and Opportunities of Sustainable Finance and Investment; Infrastructure and Urban Development; Communities, Partnerships and Communications, and the Pacific ECOnomic Zone. Secondly, Tools and Practice, which will provide core learning and training sessions for corporate practitioners on specific topics, along with pre-event workshops.
The world-class GLOBE 2016 Innovation Expo will focus on solutions that help address climate change and showcase technologies and services that foster our ability to transform to a low-carbon economy and curb dependence on fossil fuels, including power generation, smart grid, energy and natural resource efficiency, alternative fuels, advanced materials and transportation, carbon capture and storage, and greenhouse gas management.
Innovation will take centre stage in the Expo: the PowerHaus Pavilion will showcase pre-commercial ventures, the Innovation Hub will preview tech innovation presentations and Clean Tech Challenge-Pitch Forum will feature on-site pitches to investors by clean tech innovators (similar to the Dragon’s Den), all complementing more than a dozen International Pavilions. An emphasis on Global Trade and Exports will connect the economies of Canada, the United States, Asia, Latin America and Europe.
