StewardChoice Enterprises Inc. has released v3.0 of the Packaging and Printed Paper Stewardship Plan which can be viewed here. The newest version reflects further clarification and additional commitments regarding this new proposed recycling service.

“Over the past seven months we have engaged with the BC Ministry of Environment as well as other key stakeholders to clarify and strengthen our commitments to meet the requirements of the Recycling Regulation and the public policy interests of governments,” says Neil Hastie, Director of Development for StewardChoice.

Highlights of the New Content:

  • Assessing Performance on Costs and Environmental Outcomes

  • Reducing PPP through Systems Design and Supply Chain Optimization

  • Maintaining and Expanding Recycling Collection Services in BC 

  • Materials Covered Under the Plan

  • Performance Indicators 2016-2021

The original plan v1.0 was published the on June 26th 2014 and following a 75 day consultation period, a revised plan v2.0 was submitted to the British Columbia Ministry of Environment for review.
