Stanley Berman, Global Impact Chief Financial Officer and Certified Public Accountant, is being recognized with a lifetime achievement award from Washington Business Journal.

“Stan’s knowledge, discernment and keen insights have been instrumental in Global Impact’s success—he is the backbone of our accountability and integrity as a fundraising organization. I could not imagine a more deserving recipient of this honor,” said Scott Jackson, President and CEO of Global Impact.

Mr. Berman will be presented with the award at an event hosted by Washington Business Journal on July 17 at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner. The award is part of the journal’s CFO of the Year Awards Program, which honors CFOs for their contributions across multiple business sectors.

Mr. Berman was named 2012 Nonprofit CFO of the Year by Tate & Tryon and West, Lane and Schlager Realty Advisors in partnership with Association TRENDS. Virginia Business named Mr. Berman the 2010 Virginia CFO of the Year for small nonprofit organizations, and in 2009, he was the only nonprofit CFO to be recognized as a “Smart CPA” by SmartCEO magazine. Mr. Berman earned an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS with Honors in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University.

Global Impact’s management and accountability practices, helmed in part by Mr. Berman, earned the organization a series of awards and recognition, including Seal Holder status from the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance each year since 2005 for meeting all 20 standards for charity accountability.
