Changing Our World, Inc. is pleased to introduce its latest service offering: a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Strategic Planning Toolkit. The turnkey toolkit provides step-by-step instruction for corporate community involvement professionals to leverage their companies’ assets to strategically benefit key communities and stakeholders.

“Every successful community engagement program starts with a well-researched plan that seamlessly reflects a company’s values, and is aligned with its business and social goals,” says Brian Crimmins, Chief Executive Officer of Changing Our World. “Yet many companies need help connecting the dots in a meaningful and authentic way. We developed the Do-It-Yourself Strategic Planning Toolkit as a cost-effective method to assist companies in creating comprehensive and impactful programs.”

Participating companies join a small cohort of companies that embark on the four-month DIY Strategic Planning process together, guided by Changing Our World consultants via group coaching calls. Through this model, companies establish a support network among peers and enhance their learnings through shared experience. Also included in the DIY Strategic Planning Toolkit are a detailed guide to direct every step of the corporate community engagement strategic planning process, worksheets to assist in collecting and organizing research, and a presentation template to share findings and recommendations with key constituents.

“Most corporations have the assets and desire to give back to their communities, yet don’t know where to begin or how to implement without hiring an outside expert,” says Maureen Flynn, Managing Director of the Corporate Social Engagement team at Changing Our World. “The Do-It-Yourself Strategic Planning Toolkit gives corporations an option for developing a strategic, custom philanthropy program themselves through a simple, step-by-step process.”

For the approximate cost of attending a conference, participants come away with a tangible result – a clear and concise strategic plan to guide their corporate community engagement efforts. The plan includes a program model based on corporate objectives, stakeholder feedback and community needs, as well as next steps for implementation.

Changing Our World is currently assembling a cohort of companies to participate in the DIY Strategic Planning Toolkit. Space for the upcoming cohort will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Companies may also choose to partake in the process on an individual basis. For more information on the toolkit and how to register, visit www.changingourworld.com/diy. Questions can be submitted to DIY@changingourworld.com.
