2014 EthicMark® Awards Call for Nominations honoring best sustainable, environmental campaigns now open.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla., Mar. 04 /CSRwire/ - Nominations are now open, running until June 8, 2014, for the 2014 EthicMark® Awards for ads and media campaigns that “uplift the human spirit and society.” Nominations are open to campaigns representing socially responsible advertising and media communications, running between June 2012 and June 2014. Ads and campaigns can be produced by businesses, nonprofit organizations or individuals. Nominations should be submitted on Ethical Markets Media’s website.

The EthicMark® Awards, co-sponsored by Ethical Markets Media and the World Business Academy, were founded in 2004 by futurist Hazel Henderson, co-chair of the EthicMark® executive committee with Rinaldo Brutoco, president of the World Business Academy. The Awards seek to transform advertising by demonstrating the power of media campaigns to inspire, focus on human potentials and further both public and legitimate private interests.

Hazel Henderson, president of Ethical Markets Media, said: “We welcome nominations for advertising uplifting potentials for our human future. We hope the 2014 nominations include campaigns designed to transform the culture of consumerism destroying the earth’s ecosystem and depleting its natural resources.”

The annual EthicMark® Awards are presented in partnership with ESPM, one of Brazil’s premier institutions of higher education in communication, marketing and business management over the last 60 years. Other partners include GlobeScan, TBLI, Sustainable Brands and Tomorrow’s Company.

Finalists will be announced at the research conference Ethical Markets and Advertising: Capturing Exponential Growth of the Conscious Consumer in St. Augustine/Jacksonville, FL, July 2014. The winners will be announced at the 25th annual SRI Conference on Sustainable, Responsible, Impact Investing on November 9, 2014, in Colorado Springs, CO.
