The 13th event in the renowned GLOBE Series, taking place March 26-28, 2014 in Vancouver, Canada will bring together one of the most diverse groups of business and thought leaders in the event’s history. Welcoming CEOs from industry to energy and the environment, GLOBE 2014’s three-day program will enlighten, spark discussion and incite action.

GLOBE 2014 is pleased to announce the following confirmed speakers for the upcoming international environmental business summit:

Hans Engel, Chief Financial Officer, BASF SE & Chairman and CEO, BASF Corporation, has over 25 years of experience working in the chemicals industry, and has served on the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE since 2008. He has helped to shape the success of BASF’s oil and gas business throughout the world.

Peter Bakker, CEO, World Business Council for Sustainable Development, is a respected leader in corporate responsibility. He is the recipient of Clinton Global Citizen Award in 2009 and the SAM Sustainability Leadership Award in 2010, and is a UN WFP Ambassador Against Hunger.

Wal van Lierop, Co-Founder, President & CEO Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital, is a globally recognized visionary, co-founder of Chrysalix EVC and 35-year energy industry veteran. He was formerly Vice President of Strategic Planning at Westcoast Energy, a McKinsey consultant, and a university professor.

Kathy Bardswick, President & CEO, The Co-operators Group Limited, began her career with The Co-operators in 1978. Prior to her appointment as President and CEO in 2002, Kathy served as Chief Operating Officer of The Sovereign General and L’Union Canadienne, both members of the The Co-operators group of companies.
