Geneva Global's Corporate Social Responsibility Program Has Given Over $125,000 to Various International and Domestic Causes

Geneva Global, an independent philanthropic consulting firm, today announced it has given over $125,000 to various international and domestic causes as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility program. Started in 2010, the program aligns with Geneva Global’s mission of helping clients create positive social transformation around the world.
“We feel incredibly grateful that we work with some of the most innovative and recognized philanthropists, foundations, and corporations as we help them implement and achieve their philanthropic goals, but we felt that there were additional opportunities for our company to make a positive difference,” said Doug Balfour, CEO of Geneva Global. “Our employees have diverse backgrounds and a wide range of development expertise, so we solicited ideas from the entire team. Individuals promoted causes they felt were compelling and impactful and we then determined which initiatives to fund based on employee votes. The employees who championed the selected nonprofits monitor the programs so we have a clear idea of the impact of our contribution. We apply the same transparent, results-focused approach that we do when managing our clients’ programs and initiatives.”
Programs that have been or will be supported through Geneva Global’s donations include:
- The END Fund, an initiative aimed at eliminating neglected tropical diseases.
- KIPP Philadelphia Schools and their efforts to help low-income students graduate from college at the same rate as their more affluent peers.
- Pourakhi, an organization that assists exploited Nepalese women with income generation skills training and business development support.
- Cholera treatments in Haiti.
- Health education at Duncan Hospital in Bihar, India to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates and improve community health practices.
