ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 31 /CSRwire/ - Socially Good Business (SGB), a social enterprise based in Rochester, NY, has launched a crowd-funding campaign that will create positive change in communities around the nation. Partnering with a variety of like-minded organizations such as CSRwire, Imperative, TerraCycle, and TheGreenOffice.com, the coalition is working toward a better future for the planet.
“We now live in a purpose-driven society where people are empowered by education to take action,” said Liz Brenna, founder of SGB. “SGB is calling all do-gooders to make a small donation that will help us create visible change locally and throughout the nation.”
SGB is looking to raise at least $10,000 to start an educational branch that produces a curriculum teaching sustainable consumption & community systems to students, professionals, and local government in an effort to help build resilient communities.
Tying in SGB’s core mission of changing the world through business, they’re inviting contributors to nominate their employer or favorite organization to win an exceptional “spread the GOODness” grand prize. The winning org can look forward to a national featured press release from CSRwire, TerraCycle Brigades, a carbon footprint calculation and sustainable office supplies from TheGreenOffice.com, design and hosting of brand study from Imperative, and more.
Co-founder of Imperative, Arthur Woods shares, “At Imperative we believe wholeheartedly in discovering and embracing positive deviants; the GOODness campaign is doing just that and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.”
