Acorn Sign Graphics is proud to announce its certification as a B Corporation, making it the first architectural signage company to achieve B Corp status. Leading a global movement to redefine success in business, Certified B Corporations are a new kind of company with a positive vision of a better way to do business. As a Certified B Corporation, Acorn Sign Graphics voluntarily meets a higher standard of transparency, accountability, and performance, harnessing the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. For over ten years, Acorn has been a pioneer in the sign industry providing creative design/build services for all types of signage needs including wayfinding, branding, sustainable design and signage solutions, ADA compliant sign programs, and digital signage.

“This certification is aligned with our corporate values and our commitment to serving the green building community. By standing up to be counted among the B Corp ranks, we’re holding ourselves accountable for our own legacy and also supporting a movement inspiring business to leave the world a little bit better,” said Beth Gillispie, President of Acorn Sign Graphics. “Plus, we are able to provide our customers with a respected standard by which they may assess how well we “walk the talk” of social and environmental responsibility.”

In order to be recognized as a Certified B Corporation, Acorn had to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance and must legally expand its corporate responsibilities to include consideration of stakeholder interests. To achieve the B Corporation certification, Acorn completed an assessment process established by B Lab, the B Corporation certification body. The assessment included frank disclosure of information relating to Acorn’s management and operations, including its governance, workplace culture and employee benefits, environmental practices, and community engagement. Acorn’s full B Impact Report is available to the public here.
