With new Goodgames, hundreds of millions of U.S. players of online games can now give back with every game they play.  Goodgames, built by Goodsearch LLC and powered by Arkadium, is the first online game provider to give everyday cash donations for free to the nonprofit or school of the player’s choosing.

Goodgames lets the user earn donations for their selected nonprofit or school when they play online games. Users simply come to www.goodgames.org, choose from a list of 109,000 nonprofits and schools (or add their own), and earn donations for their favorite cause when they play top quality online games.

Goodgames is the latest product from the Goodsearch family of sites which has raised nearly $10 million for 109,000 nonprofits and schools from their supporters’ simple daily actions, such as web search (Goodsearch), shopping (Goodshop), dining (Gooddining), survey-taking (Goodsurveys) and now game playing.

Goodgames includes a wide variety of popular games from Arkadium, creators of the largest library of causal games in the world.  Game choices range from card games like Klondike Solitaire, to strategy games like the hit Mahjongg Dimensions, and arcade games like Eggz Blast.

With the economy still recovering and people cutting back on cause donations, nonprofits and schools are excited about generating much-needed funds from Goodgames.  ‘We’ve raised lots of money from Goodsearch products and our supporters are always asking for new, cash-free ways to support us,” said Nick Hutchinson, COO of SF-based Juma Ventures. “ With 1 in 3 Americans playing online casual games, I expect Goodgames to be a welcome new source of funds for us.”

Goodgames represents an opportunity for a material fundraising impact.  “According to NewZoo, over 50 million hours a day are spent playing casual online games in the U.S,” said Scott Garell, CEO of Goodsearch.  “If all of those hours switched to Goodgames, we’d donate over $1 billion annually to America’s causes, to help find a cure for cancer, buy books for schools, get dogs and cats adopted, clean up our oceans, and send children with disabilities to summer camp.”
