15th Annual San Diego AMA Cause Conference is "Where Purpose and Profit Meet"

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 31 /CSRwire/ - The San Diego chapter of the American Marketing Association (SD AMA) today announced that Carol Cone, who’s been called the “Mother of Cause Marketing,” will be the keynote speaker at the 15th Annual San Diego AMA Cause Conference, March 19-20, 2013, in San Diego, Calif. Cone, global chair of the Business + Social Purpose practice at the Edelman agency, will speak on “The Power of Purpose in a Transparent World,” providing crisp data to prove the need and power of social issues engagement for companies, as well as keen insights to nonprofits seeking partners to advance their social missions.
The 2013 Cause Conference brings together business and nonprofit professionals from throughout Southern California, and across the U.S., to focus on creating meaningful partnerships that lead to sustainable value. Attendees can choose from a variety of panels and workshops on topics such as: cause marketing and branding, partnership, sponsorship development, storytelling and communications, social media, fundraising, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, employee engagement, volunteerism, and more.
The event begins with a Kick-Off Networking Reception, Tuesday, March 19th, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., at the SDG&E Energy Innovation Center (4760 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA 92117). The full-day Conference takes place Wednesday, March 20th, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. at NTC Venues at Liberty Station (2875 Dewey Road, San Diego, CA 92106).
