AHC Group (www.ahcgroup.com), a specialty general management consulting group established in 1981, and Irbaris, a London-based management firm with special skills in asset integrity and corporate planning, will hold an upcoming Corporate Affiliate and leader guest workshop on “Water Risk Management” on January 22 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Based on the AHC Group’s 25 year old leader-to-leader benchmarking workshops, this special workshop is focused on Water Risk Management trends and strategies. The workshop will take place on January 22 at the Pointe Desert Hilton in Phoenix, AZ, preceding the AHC Group’s classical two-day workshops called “Achieving Results Workshops” for AHC Group Corporate Affiliates. For more on becoming an AHC Group Corporate Affiliate, visit www.ahcgroup.com.

Leading Water and Sustainability strategists from Irbaris and from the AHC Group will help 25 senior executives from such AHC Group clients as Hess, Suncor, Freeport-McMoran, and other AHC Group Corporate Affiliates, to better understand crucial trends and strategies to mitigate water risks and inform corporate long-term planning.

“There has been rising concern about water supplies and the quality of water available to support manufacturing operations. An increasingly wide range of investors have begun to track this issue, not only from the buy side but also the sell side, and especially in the Social Responsibility Investment community. What we do here in this ongoing set of workshops is bring together the key players,” notes Ken Strassner, the former Vice President of Energy, Environment and Sustainability from Kimberly Clark, and the chairman of the AHC Group’s Competing on Sustainability workshop series. “By assembling major water users, major water tool providers, and key investment experts, AHC is offering our Corporate Affiliates and our clients a special, strategic view of these important trends.”

“I teamed with our Corporate Affiliate Irbaris because they have a special leg up on these developments,” notes AHC Group Founder Bruce Piasecki. “Irbaris did the backbone research for CERES and other entities on the methodologies to measure and watch key corporate trends on water, and they have worked diligently with us and others to make this diagnostic set of tools become more prognostic. By teaming up, we hope to offer key solutions to our clients and Corporate Affiliates in the years ahead as water, energy and carbon become key strategic indicators of a firm’s potential for further growth.”

The workshop will introduce water as a strategic business issue, provide an overview of key water risk identification tools, review current best practices in water risk management, offer case examples and presentations from select corporate water management leaders, and discuss the challenges of managing future corporate water risks.

This workshop is for senior executives from leading companies. To learn more, please visit www.ahcgroup.com.
