AECOM Technology Corporation, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for public and private clients in more than 130 countries around the world, announced today that its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, John M. Dionisio, has authored a feature article on the importance of trust in business for the latest edition of Ethisphere magazine, the quarterly publication of the Ethisphere Institute.

The article, titled “The Centerpiece of Trust: Treating Ethics as a Holistic Value to the Organization,” highlights the responsibility that all companies have to build and maintain public trust in order to protect their respective industries.

“It only takes one bad actor among the business community to taint others — especially those who occupy the same industry as the perpetrator,” said Dionisio.  “That’s why it’s not enough for each of our firms to only care about our own reputations; we are all connected, if not directly by the affairs of the business, then certainly by the attitudes of the public.”

The article also highlights how AECOM’s strong corporate governance is enabled through visible and engaged leaders as well as how the firm’s “organizational consciousness” drives integrity in all business decisions and operations.
