Stakeholder Chat: A Conversation with Walmart’s Brooke Buchanan

NEW YORK, Oct. 31 /CSRwire/ - /TriplePundit - Over the course of 2012, Walmart has continued to strengthen their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.  Ambitious improvements to their global supply chain, the widespread adoption of the Walmart sustainability index and major investments in renewable energy as well as locally sourced food have propelled Walmart to a leadership position in sustainability. The launch of the Walmart Green Room blog in January underscores the company’s openness to dialogue on these issues and many more.

In keeping with its commitment to transparency and stakeholder engagement, on November 12, 2012, Walmart will hold a live Twitter chat in collaboration with CSRwire and TriplePundit to offer an in-depth discussion about the new report.

The live Twitter chat will focus on Walmart’s accomplishments over the past year, key metrics, and how the company will continue to lead positive change internally with employees, and externally with its suppliers, customers and regulators.

The chat will be led by Brooke Buchanan, Dir, Communications & Sustainability at Walmart, and will include other Walmart associates.
