(Marketwire) Today, a live 30-minute theatrical performance of Mathie Pani (Pot of Water) will be delivered by ONE DROP's Project India partner Natya Chetana at the Communication, Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) Fair site, at approximately 7:20 p.m. Mathie Pani will conclude ONE DROP's social arts and popular education approach: A secret ingredient to providing a sustainable access to safe water for all, an informative and artful presentation of how theater may be used as an effective CEPA tool.
ONE DROP's CEPA Fair presentation is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. It will detail the international non-profit organization's work supporting the conservation and sustainable use of water resources through, among other innovative methods, a "Tripod" approach. Developed by ONE DROP, this unique approach relies on the interaction occurring between the complementary technical, social arts and popular education, and microfinance components to achieve sustainable access to safe water. During the presentation, a specific focus will be applied on the social arts and popular education component as it is both an interactive and informative tool, providing an opportunity to think critically about the ways in which individuals and communities manage water resources and bear in mind a willingness to change.

ONE DROP's Project India
In addition to supporting sustainable access to safe water and sanitation through an integrated and innovative project administered alongside ONE DROP's Project India partner United Technologies Corp, the non-profit organization creates theater shows which address specific local water resource management issues. Moreover, ONE DROP develops, in collaboration with local partners, educational arts based workshops and produces useful communications tools. The workshops are designed to draw from local arts, crafts and materials to further explore water-related issues with youth and their communities while the communications tools (i.e. pamphlets, storybooks, videos, etc.) are produced to strengthen the capacity of the project and ensure its sustainability.

About the Communication, Education and Public Awareness Fair
The CEPA Fair is an 11th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 11) side event focusing on experiences and best practices in CEPA. It provides a unique opportunity for Parties and organizations to highlight their work and
their contribution to the implementation of the three objectives of the Convention on Biological Diversity. COP 11 takes place within the confines of the United Nations Decade on Biodiversity (UNDB). The UNDB serves to support and promote implementation of the objectives of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity and the Aichi Biodiversity Targets. Its goal is to mainstream biodiversity at different levels. Throughout this period, governments will be encouraged to develop, execute and communicate the results of national strategies for implementation of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity.
