WASHINGTON, Oct. 02 /CSRwire/ - The Corporate Responsibility Officers Association (CROA) announced today its slate of 2012-2013 Advisory Board members, which includes:
An integral part of the CROA, the Advisory Board oversees the primary objectives of the CROA – to promote the practice and profession of corporate responsibility as a driver of business and social value. It helps set the overall direction of the Association, ensuring that it delivers on its mission and delivers value to its members and society.
“I am excited to work with such an impressive group; they bring an important breadth and depth of experience to bear on the work of the profession,” said Richard Crespin, CROA President and Executive Director. “I can’t wait to see all that we will accomplish in the coming year.”
“I have been involved with CROA for a number of years, during which it has matured into a true professional society for CR practitioners,” said Bob Pojasek, CROA Chair and Sustainability Leader, Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure Group. “I am confident that engaging this diverse group as part of the leadership will serve the Association well as it continues to grow and develop.”
“CROA is an extremely important organization with a mission that is significant to CR and sustainability professionals like myself. I’m thrilled to be working with prominent people committed to effecting real change,” said Carol Baroudi, Sustainability Practice Advisor for Redemtech.
"The work of the CROA is vital to maturing the whole field of corporate responsibility," said Edgar Blanco, Research Director at MIT. "By joining the Advisory Board, I am excited to connect this with the work being done in academia around empowering individuals at all levels to take action to improve the sustainability of companies they work for, live next to, and invest in."
"I am eager to help CROA members exploit the solutions that can create carbon emissions reductions at scale, while driving the bottom line,” said Peter Boyd, Chief Operating Officer of Carbon War Room
"Corporate responsibility needs to be an integral part of how all businesses conduct themselves, across large, medium, and small companies," said Reid Jackson, CEO of Compusearch, a software company working at the intersection of government and industry. “This coupled with CROA’s focus on sustainable value chain management will help drive long term efficiency for the public sector and their industry partners.”
