B Corporations are a new kind of company which uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.  Unlike traditional corporations, Certified B Corporations are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their employees, suppliers, community, consumers, and environment.

Certified B Corporations meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. TerraCarbon went through a rigorous certification process that included an impact assessment (overall impact of the company on its stakeholders) and adoption of the B Corp legal framework. “The performance standards are comprehensive and transparent, measuring a company’s impact across all areas of business. We believe it is an excellent framework and will continuously work on increasing our impact”, Mr. Settelmyer continues.
