How can the U.S. save 2% of its total energy consumption bill with almost no investment? How can we eliminate the energy consumption equivalent of 30 million cars in the U.S.?

We often think of energy consumption reduction programs in massive terms – major infrastructure changes and/or large-scale investments. However, there are also potentially massive energy consumption savings to be gained by simply changing our behavior.

The key to such savings is the move to online activity. Verizon has sponsored a study by the American Council for and Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) which demonstrates that, by increasing our uptake of online activities such as online banking, online purchasing, digital photography and telecommuting, we can make a significant collective contribution to protecting our environment. Verizon is joined by leading economist Skip Laitner to present the findings of this study and share insights about how this change is possible.

Join host Elaine Cohen, CSRwire contributing writer and CEO of Beyond Business, John Laitner, ACEEE Director of Economic and Social Analysis, Luis Neves, GeSI Chairman, and Chris Lloyd, Executive Director of Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility, Verizon, on June 26th at 11a.m. EST for an engaging 60 minute webinar delving into Verizon's latest study "Measuring the Energy Reduction Impact of Selected Broadband-Enabled Activities Within Households."
