SRI World Group, Inc., a provider of corporate responsibility information management and reporting solutions, has appointed Mark Thomsen as Director of Business Development for OneReport®. OneReport is an information management, reporting and web publishing platform that helps reporting organizations address the evolving demands for corporate responsibility information.

With over seven years of experience in the areas of corporate responsibility and socially responsible investing, Thomsen will work with clients and potential clients to help them meet their reporting objectives through OneReport. Thomsen will also serve as a resource for companies in strategic reporting planning, key performance indicator development, and other issues related to corporate responsibility performance and reporting.

"Mark’s knowledge of the responsible investment community, corporate responsibility metrics and his dedication to clients will help us to meet the needs of reporting companies as they manage the plethora of information requests from the responsible investment and mainstream investment communities, and an ever expanding group of stakeholders,” said Janice Warren, director of OneReport.

Thomsen brings experience in product development, project management, editorial and content management, and client support.  He worked at SRI World Group from 2000 to 2007 and left his position as Products Director to return to graduate school full time.  After receiving an MBA at the Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts Amherst, he worked on various consulting projects, including projects with SRI World Group, before rejoining the company as Director of Business Development.

Previous to working at SRI World Group, Thomsen worked as an advisor to the Japanese government at the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) in Tokyo. Locally, Thomsen volunteers for The In-Sight Photography Project and formerly served on the board of Morningside Shelter.  Thomsen and his wife reside in Brattleboro.

Thomsen helped develop OneReport, which integrates the metrics requested by responsible and mainstream investment research and ratings organizations, as well as corporate responsibility frameworks and standards.  With tools to support the collection and oversight of information, reporting companies can manage and leverage their information through OneReport’s network of research and rating agencies.  OneReport also provides companies (and other reporting organizations) with options to report based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines.  SRI World Group has applied for GRI certification for its OneReport application. The company also developed a reporting tool that allows Global Compact participants to use OneReport to publish their data to their corporate websites.

“Overall interest in corporate responsibility and sustainability issues has mushroomed during the last decade,” noted Warren.  “With this interest has come both a proliferation of standards, frameworks, industry initiatives, responsible investment and mainstream investor interest, ratings and awards - and survey fatigue. Resources to monitor and respond to this evolving interest can help companies with limited resources to expand their reporting and reach to stakeholders.  Monitoring evolving corporate responsibility metrics through OneReport has helped companies to identify key environmental, social and governance risks and value-creation opportunities.  The recognition and management of these issues benefits companies, investors and other stakeholders,” Warren said.

SRI World Group is a leading provider of online corporate responsibility information services. OneReport, offered as software as a service, provided the world's first reporting system to address corporate social responsibility (CSR) survey fatigue due to the proliferation of frameworks and ratings systems. OneReport clients include small organizations as well as many Fortune 1000 firms.
