Position Overview:

Intertek is seeking a Communications Strategist to lead branding strategy and market development for our Sustainability Solutions Division located in New York City.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5-8 years industry experience and expertise in introducing high end services into specific targeted markets. Experience in the Sustainability/CSR field would be beneficial but not required as the ideal candidate will possess the creativity and skills required to oversee communications related to our sustainability solutions and products, media strategies, press mentions, brand recognition.

Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Ability to develop and manage communications strategy and messages related to sustainability, linking with our branded programs strategy and marketing campaigns and other programs related news.
  • Write and distribute press releases
  • Coordination with team members to align all business communications
  • Active content management of the our program's websites
  • Development of Strategic Partnerships for cross promotional development and placement in strategic business publications including print, broadcast and media
  • Conducting market research and understanding of future industry trends

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Minimum Bachelors Degree in Marketing/ Communications

  • At least 5-8 years agency or relevant experience
  • Ability to leverage the strengths of traditional and new (social) media to maximize competitive advantage.
  • Proven track record of managing production budgets, external vendors/consultants and achieving measurable results
  • Ability to manage relationships and collaborate with a variety of colleagues, internal clients, senior management, etc.
  • Strong project and program management skills; ability to multitask, manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Advanced writing and presentation skills along with a proficiency in MS office

Compensation: Intertek offers comprehensive medical, dental, vision and 401k along with 20 Paid days off per year.
