Causecast Technology to Power Virgin Mobile Canada and Virgin Unite's RE*Generation Volunteer Rewards Program

LOS ANGELES, Jun. 08 /CSRwire/ - Causecast, the premier cause integration platform for nonprofits and brands, today announced that Virgin Mobile Canada and Virgin Unite are using its technology to track and reward volunteers participating in its RE*Generation program.

Using Causecast's Volunteer Tracking and Rewards technology, volunteers who donate their time to at-risk and homeless youth organizations across Canada can earn rewards like tickets to the hottest concerts and events across the country by going to volunteer.virginmobile.ca.

"Programs like this help engage youth to give back and learn more about the issues facing their generation. Causecast has made it easy to track and manage the volunteer efforts on a massive scale, giving us the ability to help more at-risk and homeless youth than we would have otherwise been able to impact through the RE*Generation program," said Andrew Bridge, director of brand and communications, Virgin Mobile Canada.

RE*Generation is a movement to support solutions for youth homelessness and at-risk youth programs in Canada. To date, more than $800,000 has been raised and dispersed to leading youth serving agencies across the country. The RE*Generation movement is working with a number of Canadian charitable partners to help get kids off the streets and onto a path for a brighter future.

Causecast's Volunteer Tracking and Rewards technology allows brands to activate consumers and engage employees by incorporating volunteer opportunities from its nonprofit database across their campaigns, websites and other digital media initiatives. The system makes it easy to find volunteer opportunities in a specific area and to track the activities, communication and rewards for participating volunteers. For administrators of the program, the platform allows control over which nonprofits a campaign supports and tracking functionality related to the impact of their volunteer supporters.
