ABBOTT PARK, Ill., Jun. 06 /CSRwire/ - Today, Abbott will participate in the Social Innovation Summit 2011 at the United Nations. Kathy Pickus, divisional vice president, Global Citizenship and Policy, and vice president, the Abbott Fund, will speak at the following sessions:

  • Building Capacity in Emerging Markets (Morning workshop/roundtable discussion)
  • Global Impact: Driving Health Care Innovation (Afternoon panel discussion)

Kathy Pickus will discuss Abbott's approach to social innovation through sustainable access initiatives in emerging and developing markets, highlighting work in China, India, Haiti and Tanzania.
