/PRNewswire/ - WJB Capital Group, Inc. (WJB), a privately held institutional broker-dealer and a member of the NYSE, FINRA, SIPC, and other principal exchanges, today announced it will hold its Third Annual Charity Day on Thursday, May 12. WJB traders will be joined by several basketball coaches and player legends as the Group raises funds for Coaches vs. Cancer, ThanksUSA, No Greater Sacrifice, and the JEC. All eligible and approved trading commissions collected on Charity Day will be donated to these organizations.

Craig Rothfeld, Chief Executive Officer of WJB said, "Our successful growth strategy over the past several years has created a thriving business, one that enables us to fulfill our desire to help find a cure for cancer, support and promote education by providing educational scholarships to family members of those serving in the armed forces, and help those who are in need and less fortunate. We are proud to continue this tradition of giving back through our annual Charity Day. Partnering with legends like Jim Boeheim, Gary Williams and Jim Calhoun, former College and NBA superstars and decorated men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces to support such worthy causes not only makes a difference in the lives touched by these organizations, but has a direct impact on all of us working the phones and supporting these transactions. Our annual Charity Day reminds us all that having the right partners and supporting the right causes, can make a difference to so many."

"Our goal is to shatter our record donations of $1.2 million from last year, which were up 85% from 2009, and go beyond for our charities this May," concluded Rothfeld.

  • Jim Boeheim, Syracuse University
