Community Links Co-Founder David Robinson will be outlining an approach to building a society that prevents social problems from arising rather than one that copes with their consequences in a speech to the Convergence CSR network in London on March 15th.
Community Links is one of the UK's largest local charities founded more than 30 years ago and was a pioneer in the Corporate Social Responsibility field. They now work with more than 30,000 people a year through a network of community development projects in east London. Extensive partnerships with businesses from The City and Canary Wharf support local work with children, young people and families.
David is also one of the architects of the Social Impact Bond - a new financial instrument for funding early action, which he first proposed in 2007. It is now being developed internationally and David currently chairs the advisory group for the first SIB funded programme supporting the rehabilitation of offenders.
