Start with the results an organization wants, then develop strategies and goals to achieve those results.

That's the premise of results-based strategic planning and the subject of a back-by-popular-demand free nonprofit training seminar from Ventureneer. Results-based Planning: How to WOW Your Funders With Your New Strategic Plan will be held Wednesday, October 13, from 12 noon-1 pm ET.

"A results-based strategic plan gives a nonprofit the information it needs to monitor performance and produce a compelling message for funders," said Geri Stengel, founder of Ventureneer.

With this technique, nonprofits can demonstrate for funders that they really do make an impact, using key, measurable strategic results. Outcomes, with indicators and targets, determine the strategies adopted and measured. With funders demanding more proof of effectiveness, results-based strategic planning is an invaluable tool.

This webinar will give participants a format for developing a results-based plan. It will focus on:

  • Writing strong, measurable and meaningful strategic results;

  • Learning about outcomes, indicators, and targets for defining and measuring strategic results;

  • Providing an outline, examples, and sample tools for creating an organizations plan;

  • Showing funders how much customers benefit from what the organization does.

The free webinar will be taught by Kathy Keeley, Principle, The Keeley Group, who has been a social entrepreneur and executive for more than 20 years. She has been a nonprofit consultant for the last 10 years, providing strategic planning, consulting, facilitation, and coaching services to nonprofit organizations and small businesses.

Participants will learn to craft measures of results and build results-based plans for their organizations. Nonprofit executives, managers, and program directors as well as board members will benefit from this class.
