EuroCharity launches new corporate identity and European portal, renews Greek portal

EuroCharity, the reference point for Corporate Social Responsibility and the Green Economy, recently introduced its new corporate identity and logo. As part of its new look, the socially-responsible firm launched a new European Web portal and upgraded its existing bi-lingual portal on Greece:

  • EuroCharity.eu (www.eurocharity.eu) -- Europe's reference point for CSR and the Green Economy

  • EuroCharity.gr (www.eurocharity.gr) -- Greece's reference point for CSR and the Green Economy

With a better feel, improved look and enhanced navigation experience, the two portals offer additional features such as multimedia content (videos, podcasts), a new Information Centre (which includes CSR, Green Economy, NGO, Miscellaneous and Society news as well as research, viewpoints, events, speeches and interviews), enhanced banner advertising and an improved internal search engine.

"The new EuroCharity logo contains the words 'CSR' and 'Green Economy', which better reflect the core focus of our company and portals," says Peter Michel Heilmann, President, EuroCharity. "More than 25% of our readership is based in countries outside of Greece, mainly from Europe. So the launch of a brand new EuroCharity European portal, which acts as a news aggregator of EuroCharity's local-content portals in the English language, was quite a logical, strategic decision for us."

With a separate identity and domain name, www.eurocharity.eu -- Europe's reference point for CSR and the Green Economy -- now offers our members a new interactive communication platform and an innovative on-line tool to effectively reach out to their stakeholders throughout Europe and beyond.

"Our medium-term goal is to launch additional local-language EuroCharity portals in other European countries, based on the EuroCharity.gr success story. As a members-centred company, we derive the majority of our revenues from membership fees, 25% of which are used to help fund specific social and environmental projects in the country where the local-content portal is focusing on. We now wish to expand this social entrepreneurship model, which has proven to work very well in Greece, to other territories in Europe. The aim of this expansion drive is to broaden EuroCharity's corporate and non-corporate membership base abroad, sharing our values and experience with local partners, and funding specific projects of our European-based NGO members," Heilmann continues.

Since EuroCharity's establishment in 2006, the bi-lingual (Greek-English) EuroCharity.gr portal has been completely redesigned and re-engineered three times. The original site went on-line in June 2006 with one corporate member (Halyps Building Materials S.A.).
