Conifer, Colorado based Splish Salon became the first franchise approved by Green America's Green Business Network, the nation's original and largest network of screened green businesses. Splish was named an approved member after successfully completing Green America's rigorous screening process, which evaluates the social and environmental responsibility of applicant companies.

In October 2007, Splish opened its first concept salon in Colorado, and with the success of that flagship salon, it created a franchise across the nation. As a Green America approved company, Splish goes beyond the basics and represents best practices in their industry. Their hair products are chemical free, the store uses low voltage lighting and has incorporated cabinet surfaces made of recycled banana fibers.
